GETTING HERE

YOUR GUIDE TO GETTING ON SITE.

Below you should find all the information you need for getting to Splendour Festival, but if you have any further questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We recommend travelling to the festival via public transport as the most environmentally friendly travel option!

Nottingham City Transport will be providing a frequent service between the city centre and Wollaton Park and back, making it the easiest way to get to and from the festival.

Festival goers can either use Pink 30 for the Wollaton Road entrance or Orange 35/36 for the Derby Road entrance, which are both easily accessible to the Festival entrance. The recommended city centre bus stop is on Milton Street, by the Victoria Centre.

Towards the end of Splendour, starting from 21:00, Pink 30 will operate from inside Wollaton Park from a dedicated event bus stop near the Wollaton Road entrances with marshalled queue lanes with high-capacity services direct to the city centre, dropping off on Talbot Street, South Sherwood Street and Victoria Centre.

The single fare between the City Centre and Wollaton Park is £2 each way, which you can pay with contactless on the bus – just tap your contactless card / device on the card reader when you get on the bus – or with cash (exact fare only).

If you’re travelling with others, a Grouprider at £8 may be the best ticket for you. This ticket covers up to 5 people (min 1 adult, max 2 adults) and allows unlimited all day travel on every NCT bus for the day.

For anyone arriving by train, walking distance to the NCT bus stop is a 15-minute walk.

Wollaton Hall is 3 miles to the west of the city centre and can be found by following the brown signs from the A52 or the A6514. From the M1 take junction 25 and follow the signs.

Vehicle access to the Festival is via the Lime Tree Avenue entrance accessed from Middleton Boulevard. All main routes will be clearly signposted (please follow signs to this entrance rather than using the post code on your navigation system as this may take you to the wrong entrance).

There will be taxi and drop off points signposted on site.

If you are driving to the event there is event car parking on site. Just follow the yellow Splendour event signs or put NG8 1BT into your navigation system. The car park entrance is off Lime Tree Avenue, which is located off Middleton Boulevard (Ring Road). Event car parking will open at 9:00 and close at midnight. Cars cannot be left overnight. Parking will cost £10 and must be paid for on entry. You can pay in cash, contactless Visa or Mastercard as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, however we ask you please bring cash as the carpark GPRS card reader signal can sometimes be unreliable.

The Main pedestrian entry gate is the Wollaton Road entrance.

Other entrances:

  • Lime Tree Avenue (off Middleton Boulevard)
  • Beeston Lodge entrance (off Derby Road A52)

If you have received your ticket in advance or need to collect your ticket from the box office, you can enter the festival via the Main gate of the grounds, located on the main drive via the Wollaton Road entrance, next to the box office (you do not need to visit the box office if you already have a ticket).

An Accessible Car Park and Drop Off is located off the main driveway to Wollaton Hall, from Wollaton Road which is available to all blue badge holding festival goers. Your vehicle must clearly display your blue badge.

ABOUT WOLLATON PARK

Wollaton Park boasts 500 acres of parkland with diverse habitats including grassland, wetland and woodland; it’s also home to Wollaton Hall – a stunning Elizabethan manor (famed as being Batman’s house in the ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ film!) The beautiful scenery of the park provides the perfect backdrop to Splendour Festival and we’re proud to call it home!
