Kingfishr

Kingfishr are an Irish indie‑folk/folk‑rock trio formed in Limerick, Ireland in 2022, comprising Eddie Keogh (vocals, guitar), Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath (banjo, vocals) and Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon (guitar, vocals). They met while studying engineering at the University of Limerick and began writing music together during the COVID‑19 lockdown. Their sound blends emotive indie‑folk with cinematic textures and storytelling rooted in Irish heritage.

Kingfishr broke through internationally when their song “Killeagh” hit #1 on the Irish Singles Chart in 2025 and went multi‑platinum, becoming a cultural anthem. Their debut album Halcyon followed that same year, further establishing them with sold‑out tours across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
