Villanelle is a UK rock trio formed in 2023 by frontman Gene Gallagher (vocals/guitar), with Ben Taylor on guitar and Jack Schiavo on bass. They quickly built a live following through relentless touring, selling out shows even before releasing any official music. In 2025 they dropped their debut single “Hinge”, a high-energy rock track that nods to grunge, alternative and shoegaze influences while emphasizing raw riffs and attitude. Villanelle are known for their mission to “bring back rock music” and have announced headline dates and a debut EP as they continue to rise on the UK rock scene.
