Carl Froch will take to the stage at Splendour Festival this weekend (Saturday 19 July) to celebrate his recent victory against George Groves. Froch will take part in a Q&A with Notts TV’s Frances Finn where he will answer questions put to him by the audience.
Festival goers can suggest interview questions for Carl Froch on Twitter and on the Facebook page using #splendourfest.
The best questions will be put to Froch by Frances Finn live on stage on Saturday evening between sets by the Happy Mondays and Tom Odell.
Froch, who is from the Meadows and now trains in Carlton, beat rival George Groves in a eighth round knockout in front of 80,000 fans on 31 May, confirming his status as the WBA and IBF super-middleweight champion and the best British boxer currently fighting.
Councillor Dave Trimble, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Nottingham hero, Carl Froch, to join the stage at Splendour Festival on Saturday. On home turf in front of an audience of thousands, this will be a celebration of Froch’s recent fight win in his re-match against George Groves.”
