The Lathums are an English indie rock band from Wigan, Greater Manchester, formed in 2018 when vocalist/guitarist Alex Moore, guitarist Scott Concepcion and drummer Ryan Durrans were placed together at The Music Project college; bassist Matty Murphy joined later. Their sound blends jangly guitar pop with energetic rock and thoughtful lyrics. Signed to Island Records soon after forming, their debut album How Beautiful Life Can Be (2021) went straight to No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, followed by From Nothing To A Little Bit More (2023) and Matter Does Not Define (2025). The band have built a devoted fanbase with sold‑out tours and radio hits, earning them a strong place in the UK indie scene.
